At CATRAIA, we have transparency as a principle that we aim to apply to everything we do. Financial management comes from a collaborative network of financial and non-financial resources (crowdsourcing), ranging from institutional partners, direct sponsorship from local companies to the provision of spaces and local talent.
The organization formalizes itself as a core of the Praia da Tocha Residents' Association, a non-profit entity, with institutional support from Câmara Municipal de Cantanhede and Junta de Freguesia da Tocha.
The 2023 edition of the festival manifested in several distinctive aspects:
50% of the non-governmental funding, unlike previously, relied primarily on local and regional institutions.
A positive balance, which was due to higher and unpredictable revenues from donations and from the operation of the bar and merchandise.
The cost per visitor remained below 2 euros, as in the other non-pandemic years.
The details regarding the expenses and revenues of the 2023 edition can be found on this page. For any questions or further clarification, please feel free to reach out producao@catraia.pt.
